| Vijayan Parakkal has been serving as the Executive Chef at the Leela Beach Resort in Trivandrum for the last wenty years. He has a thirty years experience in the world of cuisines. Dealing with different types of people from various zones on arth and taking care of their varied tastes, the chef looks at every food item he prepares as his masterpiece. It was the love for tasty food that turned on his interest towards cooking when he was a mere fifteen year old chap. he joined as an pprentice cook in a restaurant in Mumbai. A Swiss Chef there recognized his talent and without uttering any magic spell, the door of opportunities opened for him. Gulf, Europe, Singapore, Germany, Bali⦠he kept traveling from continent to continent and country to country, learning and researching on different cuisines. He says that a delicious food is prepared when a chef's inherent ability to cook combines with his potential to judge a taste. The expert says, "There should be love poured in what you cook. Only that recipe which you are contented with can appeal to the person it is being served to. A chef gets his real trophy when he sees the result of his rendered taste as a smile of satisfaction in the faces of people on the dining table." |
