Pearle Maaney alias Serah is the season's new face to host the rejuvenating cookery show-"Taste of Kerala". A cheerful glam-doll with a benign chuckle, she brings in a feminine touch to the show. This debutant anchor is a final year student of Media Studies at Christ College, Bangalore. Photography is her core interest and she enjoys doing portfolios for her friends.

In her own words, to know her better

I am my Papa-Mamma'sdaughter. I respect and adore them for giving me the freedom to decide for myself. They have never tried to pull me down from my ambitions. But like every responsible parents, they have set some boundaries for me. So, my endeavor always remains to chase my dreams while still living within the boundary my parents have drawn for me.

To become successful by realizing your true aspiration, I think you should ponder on all your talents, explore them and try them all out for at least once.

Serah speaks about TOK

I got a direct entry to Taste of Kerala because of my bike riding hobby. That was one of the primary requirements of the show. I am the kind of person who enjoys eating food. I like to try different types of food. Each food has its own flavor attraction. Some foods are readily liked by people, but there is this thing called an acquired taste where you take to liking a food only after repeated consumption. So, one should never say no to any kind of food. In this case, it's always nice to take your chance or else you will never get to know some of the wonders of delicious cuisines.

A fan of Raj Kalesh, I was first afraid to replace him in the show. Later, I realized that this is a challenge given to me to prove myself. I didn't want to let go of it only because I was scared. This is my first attempt of hosting a show which is already made so popular. I wouldn't want to boast anything at this stage but gradually for sure, I shall succeed in making a mark of my own by adding a little Serah-touch to the show.

TOK is more like a cultural exchange. We are bringing together different tastes from different zones of Kerala. We explore different cuisines refined through different cultures, different religions and different geographies here.
